Regular physical activity has both physical and mental health benefits for people of all ages. For people with a disability finding the time, space and support they need to be active can be a challenge. Physical activity can help to increase confidence and concentration, strengthen muscles and improve balance and co-ordination. Being active can also provide great opportunities to have fun, meet new people, enjoy time with family, friends and carers, build relationships and strengthen connections in the community.
