Pool Closure 19th - 21st April
Due to emergency maintenance, the swimming pool at Balerno will be closed between Friday 19th and Sunday 21st April inclusive. Public Swim on Friday and Swim Lessons on Saturday are cancelled. Affected customers will be contacted and refunded.

Balerno High School is situated in the Southwest of Edinburgh. Having served the local community for almost 40 years, we’re delighted to be taking this one step further.
While we’re only open for public access outside of school hours, we're offering badminton court hire in the sports hall and the 25 metre Swimming Pool is open to Lane Swimming, Family Swim and Swim Coaching

Booking for Lane and Casual swimming at Balerno High School
Unlike our other pools, we are unable to remove booking for lane and casual swimming at Balerno High School at this time.
As we only operate and manage the sports facilities building out of school hours, there are technological IT issues on-site that we need to address with the Council before we can remove bookings. We are working with Council colleagues various parties to see whether we can do this in the longer term. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Swimming Lessons at Balerno
Balerno High School offers Swimming lessons for ages 2+ Saturdays and Sundays.
Scheduled classes include the Swim Nippers, Pre-School and Swim Skills 1, 2, 3 and 4 courses.

- New customers - Click here to go to the Coaching Homeportal. Once you have selected your class, select the option to Register as a new customer.
