Welcome to Balerno
We’re delighted to welcome Balerno High School on board as our newest venue. Situated in the Southwest of Edinburgh, it has been serving the local community for almost 40 years and we’re delighted to be taking this one step further.
While we’re only open for public access outside of school hours, we're offering badminton court hire and Men’s fitness classes in the sports hall.
The 25 metre Swimming Pool is open to Lane Swimming, Family Swim and Swim Coaching
Swimming Lessons now available!
Balerno High School is now offering Swimming lessons for ages 2 and up on Saturdays and Sundays.
Scheduled classes include the Swim Nippers, Pre-School and Swim Skills 1, 2, 3 and 4 courses.

No need to book for lane and casual swimming from Mon 15th Aug
There's more changes coming to our lane and casual swim sessions. From 15th August:
- you won't have to book for any casual or lane swims, simply drop in
- you won't be restricted to an hour in the pool (dependant on pool opening hours)
- families can drop in for a Family Casual Swim
