Welcome to the Meadows
The Meadows is Tennis Scotland’s Park of the Year for 2024.
The Meadows has 16 outdoor painted tarmac courts to play on in the heart of the city – open 7 days a week.
You don’t need to be a member of any club - anyone can enjoy one of the best tennis experiences in Edinburgh.
We're also proud to offer tennis coaching programmes at the Meadows as well as Craiglockhart Tennis Centre.
Summer Season
From April to September our courts require pre-booking and are open until 9pm on weeknights and 6pm on weekends.
You can book online or via our mobile app for Android or iOS by creating or logging in to your booking account.

During the summer equipment hire is available and our on-site Café Refresh is on hand for snacks and drinks.
Winter Season
From October to March you do not have to book to play on our courts, simply just come along and enjoy a game on an available court.
We offer 6 Floodlit Courts during this period that are bookable from 4-10pm 7 days a week and these can be booked via our App or by visiting here.

Prime Video LTA Youth Girls
Prime Video LTA Youth Girls is back this October break, running at Craiglockhart Tennis Centre and Meadows Tennis. These courses are the perfect introduction to tennis for girls, learning skills of the game in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment.

Tennis Scotland's Park of the Year Winner!
Meadows Tennis has been awarded Tennis Scotland's Park of the Year Award 2024. This award recognises the achievements of the venue in coaching, community engagement and growing tennis participation in their area.

The LTA Youth Girls Intro class is designed for girls who are new to tennis. Running outwith our EL holiday programme, the sessions aim to make tennis fun and relaxed so girls can develop their skills in a supportive environment.

Adult Coaching Classes
Come along to our adult coaching sessions at the Meadows on our floodlit courts.
Tuesdays
18:30 - 20:00 Adult Beginner - Ideal for those who have some basic skills or have completed the New to Tennis 4-week course.
Wednesdays
09:30 - 11:00 Improvers Session - These sessions are aimed at those who have some tennis experience, can serve, keep score and get a rally going.
19:00 - 20:30 Improvers Session - These sessions are aimed at those who have some tennis experience, can serve, keep score and get a rally going.
You can book your adult class each week on our app or on our website's 'Book Now' page (just like a fitness class or a gym session).

Tennis coaching for juniors
Our junior tennis coaching programme at Edinburgh Leisure is recognised by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) as being second to none. See our classes, timetable, space availability and request to book a junior class by visiting the Coaching HomePortal.
Tennis coaching for adults
We have a fantastic choice of sessions for adults to develop skills through a combination of informal coaching and matchplay. We run these sessions at Craiglockhart Tennis Centre and the Meadows. Bookable on our Coaching HomePortal.
Booking into our coaching classes
You are now able to use our Coaching HomePortal to book and pay online for classes. The Coaching HomePortal also allows you to book into additional classes, add siblings to your account and book them into a suitable class.

- Current customers with an activated Coaching HomePortal account - Click here to go to the Coaching HomePortal. When booking your class please ensure you enter your email and password under the Returning Customers section.
- New customers - Click here to go to the Coaching Homeportal. Once you have selected your class, select the option to Register as a new customer.

Cafe Refresh
Cafe Refresh at the Meadows is open 7 days per week during the summer season from April to September.
