The wait is finally over - Edinburgh's newest Olympic-standard bouldering walls have launched at Edinburgh International Climbing Arena!
Get ready to chalk up and test your skills on our freshest set of problems. Our expert route-setters have created some truly great challenges, so come along and see what they've crafted!

Coming Soon: Even more bouldering with Bouldering Zone!
Following the launch of our Arena Boulders in December, we're excited to unveil another brand-new bouldering space — part of our Bouldering Refurb Project, supported by the sportscotland Sport Facilities Fund grant awarded last year.
Located on Level 3, the Bouldering Zone will be a bright, welcoming space featuring fresh routes, fun challenges, and even more opportunities to climb. It joins our Arena Bouldering Walls and Bouldering Room, creating a comprehensive, progressive bouldering offering for all abilities.

If you’re our Climb or Climb & Fitness member, you’re all set to jump in.
Returning Pay As You Go climbers, just check in and pay at reception first. You can find our casual prices here.
New to EICA:
If you’ve climbed before but haven’t been to EICA Ratho, you’ll need to complete a registration form and pass a quick competency check when you arrive. Click here for registration forms.
New to Bouldering/Climbing:

About Our Bouldering Refurb Project
Renovations at EICA began in June with a £100,000 grant from sportscotland’s Sport Facilities Fund. The upgrade introduces an Olympic-standard bouldering wall, designed by Rockcity, making EICA the only UK climbing center equipped for all three Olympic disciplines: lead climbing, speed climbing, and bouldering.
As the UK’s largest climbing gym and its sole international competition venue, the arena can now fully support events across all IFSC disciplines
