FAQs
Participants are asked whenever possible to arrive ready for their activity as some venues have very limited changing space. Children should wear appropriate stretchy and comfortable clothing that they can move around and be active in, for example T-shirt and shorts, tracksuit bottoms or leggings or a gymnastics leotard (dresses or skirts are not suitable). For reasons of safety at all ages, longer hair should be tied back off the face and jewellery must be removed or taped over for duration of the class. Participants should bring a water bottle with them. They will take part in the gymnastics lessons in bare feet.
Can I be involved in my Childs learning?
Parents of children in our Baby Nippers and Gym Nippers classes (up to the age of 3) are an important part of the class where both the children and adults have great fun learning and socialising together. Adults are encouraged to really get involved as the more they do then the more the child will take part. Adults are also advised to wear comfortable clothing.
3 - 5 yrs Gym Nippers, Gym and Jump or Jump Nippers classes -

Spectating:
We do not have spectating areas in our gymnastics halls and all parents/guardians are required to leave the area except during Adult and Child classes.
Yes, they can. For participants in our adult & child gymnastics we strongly recommend a ratio of 1 adult per child if at all possible as the adult is required to physically support the child through some skills, under instruction from the coach. We recognise though that there are circumstances when 1 adult to 2 children is necessary, for example, if there are twins, siblings of close age, a childminder with 2 charges or a grandparent with 2 grandchildren/cousins. As we like to assist customers to attend whenever possible, we would ask them to book in and to speak to the Gymnastics Co-Ordinator (or Coach) to make us aware when they first attend class. The coaches will try to help whenever they can however overall class management and supervision is their priority. Close supervision of both children by their adult is essential at all times and we reserve the right to discuss this with the adult again if we feel it is not working for some reason.
