Steady Steps - Physical Activity ReferralProgramme

Steady Steps is for anyone who has had or is at risk of having a fall. The programme is delivered over 16 weeks with participants attending weekly classes, followed by a cuppa and a chat. at one of our venues. Participants are also encouraged to complete home exercises twice a week.

Who delivers the sessions?

All classes are delivered by a qualified instructor who has completed specialist postural stabilitytraining.

What happens at a session?

Our Steady Steps classes last for 1hr and include a warm-up, followed by specific exercises designed to improve balance, endurance, strength and flexibility and rounded off with a short cooldown. All exercises can be adapted to your ability and there are seated options for all exercises.

Classes are followed by a well-deserved tea or coffee and the opportunity to chat to your instructor and other participants.
